Clone Film (needs renaming)
Start:
· Business documents showing plans for cloning. (like the torchwood clip, show titles here)
· Film starts with clone ‘on the run’ towards a building where the businessman is, being chased by ‘henchmen’
· As he is escaping these henchmen he is getting closer and closer to the businessman.
· On his way have a few flash backs narrating the story up to this point:
1. Memory and body responses flash back. This is the clone remembering all his ‘check ups’ after his creation in a Drs Office.
2. Escaping after learning plot. This is where the clone realises he is going to be ‘dealt with’ (here the clone need to find out some how he is a clone and he is going to be disposed of because he was only a test, alternatively he could not yet know he is a clone and he could simply realise he is about to be killed and run away) he escapes from the office and goes on the run. (we need to consider how we will portray this.)
Suggestion (when the Clone escapes from the office and goes on the run. We could use the interior of a small room in college or anywhere else suitable. Within the room will be two guards at the door the clone fights his way past them to escape or sneaks past when they are sleeping . Then we could film the clone away running from the doors of a large building somewhere in Barnsley using a low down high angled shot so that when we editing we could possibly attach the logo of the cloning business to the building to so the audience see the same logo that was on the cloning form. )
3. Establish he is being chased. This could be done in various different ways, it could be a direct follow on of the one above, it could be a different scene where he remembers the first sign of the ‘henchmen’ chasing him. And we need to establish the ‘bad’ side of the businessman’s character by pointing out that he knows it’s illegal.
We also need to establish 2 more things vital for the plot,
A) One of the body guards is working for/ with the clone.
B) We also need to establish something about the Character that the audience can relate to, so they can identify the ‘switch’ between the businessman and the clone at the end. It needs to be subtle, but also noticeable from the audience POV. It could be something like a catch phrase or an action which he does (like a twitch) or alternatively Oliver suggested a scar on his wrist, it could be a word he pronounces wrong. Etc get your creative juices going!
· Finale Show the clone rushing into the businessman’s room with the businessman and the ‘undercover’ Guard there. Have a brief confrontation then cut to the other guards ‘crashing into the room.
· In the room we could have the businessman (dressed as the clone) tied up or ‘pinned’ by the Guard. The other guards drag the business man away, at this point the audience should be lead to believe that it is the clone that has been captured and dragged away (leave the actual disposal of the clone to man to their imagination). Then show the clone dressed as the businessman with the ‘undercover guard alone in the room, here the catch phrase, action or scar should be shown so the audience will realise that it is actually the clone. Have some dramatic drum beat (or something similar) show the clone with a slight smirk looking at the camera and fade to black,
· Roll on Credits
