My first idea for a new short film was a spy thriller, much like the film the Bourne Identity which I had recently viewed. This film has a number of shot sequences and chase sequences filmed from the point of view of the main character.
This came from another idea that I had about a shape shifter, but because of the time frame that I had been set to complete the film, the full idea was not realized. I now think that a more in depth version of my original idea could provide a good concept for further work and a new film.
The idea of the shape shifter could be combined with a murder or detective thriller possibly filmed in black and white. The plot would be that the shape shifter has committed a murder and the detective tries to find the shape shifter.
When our group got together to discuss what ideas we had for the new film they discussed a sci-fi film revolving around the concept of a clone. The film then seemed to me and the group to represent another similar film Blade Runner. We now have amalgamated our ideas together to make a Sci-fi thriller/ action film that combines elements of all the group member's ideas from sci-fi to fast paced action sequence.
