Editing the Confidential

The first port of call when editing the confidential is to log and transfer the raw footage from the camera.

When all the footage is in I create an effective title sequence by looking at each clip and choosing intervals and merging them all together using sharp cuts. I then replace the footage sound with the music track.

Then I choose a nice image to use from the last sequence clip and then add the title over it.

Next, I view each clip and take the parts that are the most important and edit them together. Normally the film becomes way too long so I take out the less vital parts and then cut the whole thing down.

I then add the credits to scroll up at the end of the clip and add the music track again to it.

Then all the video and audio transitions and effects are added and the speed of clips are edited (Important for the set dressing - Time lapse)

The video is rendered and then exported.

Then confidential is ready to watch!
