Duplicate Confidential - Day 7

This is the 'behind-the-scenes' of our seventh and final day of filming. This day was a challenging day because it required a professional filming schedule regarding other actors and actresses. We had to check and correlate their availability to decide this day to film on. Also we had to properly dress the set into a cafe because this location is not a cafe. The challenge was to create this location like a cafe using cinematography, mise-en-scene, sound and editing.

Editing the Confidential

The first port of call when editing the confidential is to log and transfer the raw footage from the camera.

When all the footage is in I create an effective title sequence by looking at each clip and choosing intervals and merging them all together using sharp cuts. I then replace the footage sound with the music track.

Then I choose a nice image to use from the last sequence clip and then add the title over it.

Next, I view each clip and take the parts that are the most important and edit them together. Normally the film becomes way too long so I take out the less vital parts and then cut the whole thing down.

I then add the credits to scroll up at the end of the clip and add the music track again to it.

Then all the video and audio transitions and effects are added and the speed of clips are edited (Important for the set dressing - Time lapse)

The video is rendered and then exported.

Then confidential is ready to watch!

Duplicate Confidential - Day 6

This is the 'behind-the-scenes' of our sixth day of filming. This was challenging because Joseph had to create documents that were to be filmed for the title sequence. However, we had to film vital bits of information and point them out to the audience for them to understand the film so it became quite a challenge.

Duplicate Confidential - Day 5

This is the 'behind-the-scenes' of our fifth day of filming. This was challenging because we had to avoid the reflection from behind us because it was dark outside and the window showed it all. So we created a blackout with my coat which was the plan we used. Our previous plans had failed to work, therefore we settled with what we could do.

Possible Distributors

Momentum Pictures is one of the leading independent motion picture distributors in the UK, releasing approximately 20 theatrical films a year, with several direct-to-video releases.

They have won 8 BAFTA awards, which is more than any UK distributor.

Some of Momentum Pictures' most successful theatrical releases include:

The King's Speech

Amelie

The Men who Stare at Goats

P.S I Love You

Chalet Girl

Limitless

Insidious

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

Dear John

I would have Momentum Pictures distribute our film if it were to be professionally produced because they are one of the leading UK distributors and that they have distributed many well-known films that have won awards. Also they are a widely-known company so they would be able to distribute our film to a very wide audience due to their prior 50 years of achievement.

Another possible independent UK distribution company that could produce our film if it were to be professionally produced is Studio Canal (Formerly known as Optimum Releasing) because they would be a great company to advertise films to a wide variety audience. It is also another one of the leading UK distributors which means that it is a well-known company to the UK.

Some of the films they have distributed include:

This is England

Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy

Tyrannosaur

Don't be Afraid of the Dark

The Awakening

Kill List

The Guard

Whisky Galore

Four Lions

Duplicate Confidential - Day 4

This is the 'behind-the-scenes' of our fourth day of filming. The challenge with this day was to get a very action-packed scene filmed in a short space of time whilst the building was full of people. The shot with creating Alpha talking to Preston was difficult due to the obvious continuity issues.

Possible Distribution Companies

Momentum Pictures

Momentum would be the most likely candidate for distribution of the film which we have produced, as it is an independent British company that is internationally established ,and very well recognized.
